We welcome you in our home when you are looking
to spend a few days in an authentic, simple and comfortable house on the bank of a river in a quiet rural village, along the Champagne Tourist Route
to hike, cycle or ride a motorbike or car along the vineyards, forests and heritage of churches, castles and war memorials.
The property is renovated with respect for the features of the 1900’s café, practical, not luxurious but equipped with all the modern comforts in an authentic artistic and ‘bohemian’ look. Each of our 4 rooms has its own private bathroom and toilet. We deliberately choose to rent only 2 rooms at the same time and keep our home a calm place. Our accessible terrace on the bank of the river Surmelin is the ideal spot to take your breakfast or relax on the sound of the river or birds.

Conviviality
Conversation is a thing here, if you like, so we speak English, French, Dutch and German.
Bikers get one of the 4 free parking spots in our closed garage, the availability of all 4 rooms (10 persons) when you drive in group, a simple evening meal, a dryer and some tools for small repairs.
Gentle dogs are welcome in the Passerelle room. The nearby vineyards are the prefect spot for a walk.
The whole house, from street to terrace, one room and its bathroom are wheelchair accessible, .

Although gender or colour is no issue to us, we experienced that we need to assure explicitly that whatever letter of “HLGBTQIA+” you might be or whatever colour you have, we care for you.
Nature and durability
Just as we honor our old house with all its benefits, we want to return to reasonably ecological “wild” surroundings, caring for nature, birds, fish, rodents and insects, simply by not bothering them.
You drive the car you like, we like cars too, and for the electrical ones, we provide a 11kW WallBox charging point at cost price.
Here you eat well
Our breakfast is complete and diverse. We serve ‘croissant and baguette’, coffee or tea, home-made marmelade, cheese and ham, freshly squeezed orange juice and, when available, boiled eggs and home-made yoghurt.
For your meals we can prepare (on demand during the reservation process) a simple meal but we like to suggest you a very fine local restaurant, which helps our community thrive.
